Cub Pack 288
Two-Lakes District of the Allegheny Highlands Council, USA

We are based in Cattaraugus County supporting youth in the Cattaraugus – Little Valley School District and surrounding areas. CLV Cub Scout Pack 288 was started in the fall of 2013 by Mary Rix, Wayne Schuver, Kevin and Rebecca Whited with 5 cub scouts and their parents.  One of those original Cub Scouts has earned the Arrow of Light award and moved on to the Boy Scout program with CLV Troop 288.  Cub Pack 288 is chartered by the Little Valley VFW Post 8734.

The Cattaraugus – Little Valley Cub pack has had a very successful 4 years of existence we have made multiple trips to Spash Lagoon Participated in every annual Council run outdoor activity from fishing tournaments to FireMuster, to Monster Mash and Winter Cub Fun Day’s even the Annual Cubapalooza at Elk Lick Scout Reserve.  We have made multiple overnight trips to the Buffalo Science Museum.  We have participated annually in the Council’s Cub Summer Camp at Elk Lick Scout reserve.  We have gone Bowling, we have camped overnight at the Cattaraugus Christian Camp twice, we have spent a very cold April night at Fort Niagara learning about American History.  We run annual pinewood derbies, and participate in the council races.  We have also taken part in daytime science missions to the Dresser-Rand Nasa Challenger Center in Allegheny, Ny.  In short we have a lot of fun.

As of October 2017 we have 34 active Cub Scouts in Kindergarten through 5th grade.
